       “EGH Rotary Shares the LOVE”

MONTESANO, WA –East Grays Harbor Rotary’s 5th annual “Pair of Hearts Ball” generated excitement and generosity this year at Quinault Beach Resort and CASINO.  The Valentine themed fundraiser held Saturday, February 12th in Ocean Shores was attended by hundreds who came with their hearts full and their wallets open.

100 percent of the net proceeds from this year’s event are being donated to the Children’s Advocacy Center in Montesano. That donation totals $22,279, more than doubling the previous year’s donation!

“Having the support of the community and the generous donation from the East Grays Harbor Rotary Club means so much to the children and families that we help here at the Children’s Advocacy Center of Grays Harbor.  We could not possibly perform the important work that we do without the support of this community, both through financial and volunteer contributions” declares, agency director Angela Coulter.

The Children’s Advocacy Center of Grays Harbor works throughout the county to promote and facilitate a multidisciplinary, child-focused approach to the prevention, investigation, intervention, prosecution, and treatment of child physical and sexual assault.  They do so through many diverse programs meant to reach all children at risk of abuse and neglect.

The “Pair of Hearts Ball” is the signature fundraiser for this centennial rotary club and in just five years, has resulted in over $62,000 to the Children’s Advocacy Center in Montesano.

East Grays Harbor Rotary club, formed in 2005 is a service organization whose members have many opportunities for humanitarian service, both locally and internationally. Service programs address concerns such as health care, hunger, poverty, illiteracy, and the environment. Rotarians regularly experience the fulfillment that comes from giving back to the community. The East Grays Harbor Rotary Club meets Thursdays at 7am in Montesano at the Montesano Church of God located at 317 Spruce Avenue East.
